Tango Choreography on Tuesday
This dance class runs on Tuesdays from 8:30pm to 9:30pm in Bulimba.
Join up with a partner and learn a fantastic Tango choreography that you will perform at one of our Latin Dance parties! Take the extra challenge and enjoy the whole process of performing.
We suggest an intermediate level of Tango is required for this class.
What we would expect
To join an open progression class, we do require previous dance experience. We would expect that you are confident in dancing the chosen dance style with a partner to various speeds of music. Also that you are comfortable in dancing more advanced ideas and movements. Each person is different in the way they learn and the speed they learn at, so please Contact us about the style you are interested in joining so we can help you chose the best class suited to your experience.
Dance Styles we teach in this class
The musicality of tango Argentino is the most important element of the dance. The basic idea of the dance is taking your partner in an embrace and walking, using the music to guide your steps.
Your dance instructors
Daniel started teaching at Centro de Danca Jaime Arôxa, Rio de Janeiro in 2000. The school arguably has the best teaching methodology and is by far the biggest dance school in Brazil.
This makes Daniel the only dance instructor in Brisbane with years of actual instructing experience in Brazil.
In 2005, Carolyn moved to Rio de Janeiro to commence a full-time dance scholarship at the famous ‘Jaime Arôxa Dance Academy’ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She worked 10 – 12 hour days, 6 days per week.
